Happy New Year!  We've had a mild winter so far, with the exception of some 0-degree nights in December.  But, in the mountains, anything can happen.  It's never too late to ask for help with caring for your Flagstaff-area home!

Winter prep tips: 

• disconnect garden hoses
• replace batteries in thermostats, smoke detectors and garage keypads
• turn the heat on to 55, open cabinet doors under sinks to allow ambient air to circulate
• change furnace filters
• does your heat tape work?  
• are all your windows closed and locked for winter?
• have gutters cleaned before the snow piles up!
• have extra food and water on hand in case you get snowed in - and candles in case of power outages
• keep the car gassed up when you are here in the winter
• carbon monoxide and smoke detectors can save your life!

We are always happy to check things out for you - complete walk through, checking for old or new issues on ceilings, doors, windows and floors, is the furnace working?  We also take a look at your fridge and freezer, as well as exercising plumbing fixtures if the water is on.  We will also check around the exterior, looking for evidence of rodents, skunks, foxes around your home.  

Winter 2009-10:
